Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will be involved in each phase of PCA's standard software development life cycle, which includes prototype design, detail design, development, beta test and refinement, and migration and development of custom software applications running on Web Service with SQL database. The Software Engineer will be required to build the user friendly, modern, and aesthetically pleasing User Interface as well as design the underlying data model structures and relationships that drive the User Interface features and capabilities; code and implement scalable and high performance applications for clients; ensure the development of quality systems within established guidelines and time frames; deploy a beta version of applications for clients that are fully functional and gather the client's feedback during the beta testing; debug and fix the bugs submitted by the client; configure and setup an application server. Design & implement .NET Smart Client, .NET Web Client and SQL Server applications for leading enterprises. Analyze user needs and develop high-quality, innovative software with operational efficiency. Work with clients to scope the project and learn about the client's business intention and vision for the application. Design and develop custom C# applications and components according to gathered requirements. Gather the underlying details necessary to build out an application and uncover, communicate and resolve any unknowns on how the application is going to function. Develop software to company development standards. Optimize performance of the applications and create and utilize best standards. Write up test cases and use cases that will be used to clarify how an application is expected to behave and perform specific tasks, which includes any data migration plan, researching any third-party controls, data validations and business logic, algorithms and calculations that support the visual design. Configure and setup an application server as well as import the client's legacy business data into the new system by writing ETL scripts and/or using a third-party tool such as Red Gate to aid with the process and train personnel to start using the system. Configure and Deploy production releases to client's production environment on AWS Provide production support, participate in production incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. Track and report progress regularly to team and project manager. Contribute in design and development of our shared component library, and additionally create functions and libraries to be used by team of developers. Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, present technical ideas and participate in problem-solving/brainstorming sessions with other team members. Apply critical thinking and innovative approaches to mission critical business applications. Perform comprehensive unit and integration testing of all software produced. Work individually, in a team and across teams as per project's need. Participate in group design and code reviews. Stay abreast of the latest technology and industry best practices.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or the foreign equivalent.
Minimum Experience Required: 3 years of experience in Software development, .NET, and SQL Engineering, including the following: .NET Desktop Application Programming (such as C#, WinForms, MVC); Web application development (such as C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Angular/JS), SQL Server; including T-SQL, Schema Design, Procedures, and Performance tuning; Handling both the front-end of the application and the database coding; Designing Professional, Business, Data oriented User Interfaces.
