Tripp Micou, Managing Partner
Mr. Micou founded PCA in 1992 with the vision to develop practical computer applications
that solve real business needs — the way they should be done, and will be done
in the future over the Internet. Prior to PCA, Mr. Micou was a partner at Cardwell-Micou,
a database consulting firm. Previously, Tripp managed PC software releases for
Digital Equipment Corporation, and was a Graduate Fellow at the Hughes Aircraft
Company from 1984 thru 1987.
Tripp holds a BS from The University of Michigan with Honors and a Masters of Science
in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Tripp is widely
regarded as one of the more knowledgeable database design architects in the US.
Kent Summers, Managing Partner
Mr. Summers joined PCA in January 2005 to lead Client business development
planning and management activities. Prior to PCA Kent was a Partner with Garofalo
& Associates LLC, a boston-based investment bank that provides sell-side M&A advisory
services to technology companies. From 1991 thru 2001, Mr. Summers served in various
management roles at early stage software companies, including: Chairman & CEO of
Collego Corporation (acquired by MRO Software), founder and CEO of MyHelpdesk, Inc.
(acquired by PC Support, Inc.), and VP of marketing at Electronic Book Technologies
(acquired by INSO Corporation).
Prior to the software industry, Kent worked on Wall Street as a Technology Analyst
at EJV Partners LLC, and a Program Trader on the Options Program Trading desk at
Bear Stearns & Co. A graduate from the University of Houston, Kent is a co-founding
member of the World-Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Technical Advisory Board (MIT 1994),
and served as a Director of the X Consortium and OASIS. Mr. Summers is an active
Mentor with the MIT Venture Mentoring Services program, is a Board Member and advises
a number of early-stage software companies in the Boston area.
