The Project is straightforward in terms what is needed to meet the Client's business needs, and how long it will take to perform the required services.  For these types of Projects, PCA can provide a fixed-cost, fixed schedule Proposal immediately following our initial Consultation and Evaluation phase.

Example PCA Projects: custom report design/development projects, simple SQL Server optimization/performance tuning projects, and MS Access corruption and repair projects.

Client need is "mostly defined."  Optimal solution is TBD.

Some Projects require refinement and/or prioritization of application capabilities, prior to initiating the Development Phase.   PCA consultants rely upon our standard Prototype Design Methodology to provide a simple, visual means to communicate and confirm application capabilities.  We will provide you with a reliable Project Estimate (based upon our initial Evaluation), prior to engaging Clients in the Prototype design/feedback process.

Example PCA Projects: Excel and MS Access application migration/conversion projects, new Smart Client application "design from scratch" Projects, and existing Smart Client application enhancement Projects.

Client need and optimal solution requires in-depth technical evaluation.

Some Projects require extensive research to properly flesh out the available alternatives, and provide you with specific recommendations and associated costs.  PCA initiates these types of Projects with an In-depth Evaluation in order to determine the best course of action.
