PCA has designed several sophisticated systems to support our Clients' manufacturing
processes and supply-chain planning and management needs. Common objectives include
streamlining complex product Planning, Production, Inventory and Distribution processes
and logistics. PCA can help you optimize your Manufacturing operations and Supply-Chain
management needs to increase visibility of vital business information and reduce
IT cost and complexity.

International beverage and snack, that includes: Sales Forecasting, Days-of-Supply,
Inventory, Deployment and Production Scheduling. The Smart Client solution
replaced hundreds of Excel spreadsheets, and provides Pepsi with a systematic approach
to effectively balance product manufacturing, warehousing and distribution with
sales projections.
United States Aluminate Company is a chemical manufacturer, producing high quality
sodium aluminate, aluminum sulfate and other aluminum-based products.

including: Inventory, Purchase Order, Quotation, Distribution and Procurement Management
applications.
IMG serves the North American retail and wholesale trades, and assists clients with
importing everyday and seasonal items from source countries in Asia and Europe.
PCA designed and developed a custom Smart Client solution that streamlined a complex
end-to-end order, shipping and invoicing import process for over 4,000 SKUs from
multiple suppliers. The new solution replaced a number of spreadsheets and inefficient
manual processes, and included direct, secure access to the system by IMG vendors
and customers.
Product Manufacturing
The business objectives of our Clients in complex manufacturing industries are remarkably
similar: simplify/rationalize business processes, provide accurate information to
the right people, and help produce and deliver higher quality product faster, with
fewer resources. Tackling these critical issues can be challenging, and the outcome
of a streamlined system can make a huge difference in a company's productivity and
profitability.
As manufacturing businesses evolve, "office grown" systems and business processes
have a tendency to become overly complex and convoluted. New features accumulate
over time, producing a quilt-work of disconnected functions that become increasingly
burdensome for Users and costly to maintain. PCA can help you rationalize your in-house
system and business processes. We will perform a thorough evaluation of systems,
workflow and business needs, and help you design and develop a solution that is
streamlined, simple to use, and cost-effective.
Supply Chain Management
SCM is the proprietary method of improving the way your company Plans, Sources,
Produces, Warehouses and Distributes product to your customers. In our experience,
Proprietary is the operative word -- as each of these areas compose dozens of unique
processes which are highly-specific to different industries, and further specific
to individual company operational needs. Building effective Supply chain management
starts with truely understanding the unique nature of your product, competitive,
supplier, distribution and customer planning and operational needs.
Some SCM platform vendors offer a single, comprehesive SCM solution e.g. SAP's Advanced
Planner and Optimizer (APO), which requires extensive customization and integration
to function effectively. It is no mystery that this "tuning process" can take years,
and often costs far mare that the software license itself. Because SCM platform
solutions are often perceived as "Jack of all Trades, Master of None," other SCM
vendors offer best-of-breed SCM components. This approach however still leaves the
buyer with a significant, time-consuming and expensive system-integration effort,
not to mention the additional technical and business exposure to multiple vendors.
PCA understands that the methods you rely on to plan and track demand, supply, manufacturing
status, logistics and distribution are highly unique to your business. Moreover,
how your supply-chain partners are involved and managed is also very different from
one business to the other. As such, PCA takes a bottom-up, custom-design approach
to meeting our Clients supply-chain management needs. We can custom-fit an SCM solution
that confirms to your unique business needs, and often for a fraction of what it
will cost you for a platform or best-of-breed SCM vendor approach. PCA's SCM solutions
are built on the Microsoft Business Platform, so you benefit from the technical
and business stability that your company demands.
Among the Key Business Issues that PCA has solved for our Clients' SCM needs include:
Demand Forecasting, Days-of-Supply, Seasonality Curve, Regional and Multi-lingual
SCM Configuration, and roll-up planning and operational status reporting.
